Babies, babies, babies

Y'all there are so many babies surrounding me.  Lots and lots of pregnant ladies.  Lots and lots of cuteness.  Lots and lots of love.

In light of this, with the help of my friends, we threw a shower at my house for two beautiful ladies in our community group that are both expecting little girls this fall.  It was simple, no crazy Pinterest-ness (except some recipes), but we had so much fun.  And to be honest, i'm glad they're both having girls - it made it easier to plan and is of course, just so adorable :-)

One of the tastiest, easiest party foods - check it out here.
How pretty are these little fruit cups?!

A little scrapbook artwork I made for each of the little girls.

Hi there, Nada :)
Sweet friends.
I mean, come on...these are precious.
We love you already, little girls!  Can't wait to meet both of you.

Texas came to Georgia

The last half of August, we had two visits from some of our Texans.

A couple of weeks ago David's family came here.  It was the first time all of them came, which was really nice since we don't see them that often.  Augusta's not a big town, there aren't a lot of "sites" to take people to.  So most of the time we end up showing off a little outdoor scenery instead.

Last but not least, to wrap up the month, my high school friend Mallory came out too.  I hadn't seen her in a long, long time, and it was nice to spend time catching up.
Disregard my sunburn from the lake.
August was such a busy month, but a wonderful one.  It was nice to have a change of pace, which i'm thankful for.

Things i'm looking forward to in September - cool weather, camping, a weekend getaway, more visits with loved ones, and of course football!!

What are you looking forward to?
