Homestretch

Well, to say this has been a busy month is an understatement.  But, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.  If I can get through my 4 comprehensive finals next week, I have 2 weeks off!!! before I start the summer schedule of doom where I study anatomy 24/7.  I'm already thinking of the sleep I can hopefully enjoy.

And just for giggles...

AND this is how Dex and I are preparing for finals week.
See you at the end of the tunnel!

"Team Kate"

This past weekend I met my family in Charlotte and we participated in a walk for kidney disease awareness and research fundraiser.  Anyone who knows me (or has read my blog for a while) should know, both sides of my family are affected by genetic, chronic kidney disease.  This was a great way to have a good time together and raise support for this cause that is dear to our hearts.
FYI: "Kate" is the name of my mom's new kidney that my aunt donated.  Yeup, it has a name, it's awesome.

Aunt (donor), Mom (recipient), and Dad (donor)

Nothing like swapping organs to bring a family closer together ;)

Creation

This past weekend was refreshing.  It was the first days off of my spring break (rejoice!!!) and David and I got to go up to the mountains to visit my family.  We went and visited Linnville Falls, which is a beautiful place about 40 mins from my parent's house.  It's filled with waterfalls, rocks, ravines, trees...enjoy the photos.
